World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades can be used to improve the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and boost additional stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a certain amount.
Item Level
When an item is upgraded, its stats improve in value. This is the sum of all of its leveled up perks (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that must be altered to upgrade an item.
The level of an item is a popular measurement of power and can be seen on all item tooltips. It can also be used to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear, since PvP is limited at lower levels. Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.
When deciding whether to purchase or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item. It's a sign of the damage and quality. The level of the item can be used to compare items when examining the inventory of a vendor.
The item level can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are several theories on how the calculation of the item's level is made. One theory states that the level of an item is determined by a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats really are. It considers that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in the sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl calculated, which is usually very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.
This is not the only factor that influences the ilvl of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped can change its stats. For instance, it could add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have higher ilvl.
Item Stats
Item stats are a big element in what makes or breaks an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the best." The stat modifications of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's level.
Upgrades to an item can boost its stats. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. A white or grey item for instance, can only be upgraded one time, while an item that has rare tiers can be upgraded several times at more expensive costs.
Another method of altering the stats of an item is to use affixes. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can provide the item extra damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.
Currently, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other rerolling options.
Players can choose to upgrade an item to a specific stat, or reroll attaches. The possible stat ranges of an item are based on the level of the item, but all items are guaranteed to have at least one stat within the specified range, unless it is an exclusive item or an item that is a God roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't show all possible stats gained or lost at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items, the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. However, it doesn't directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade item s. It gives the player a possibility to obtain better equipment in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in the initial game run than later ones since most players prefer greater weapon scaling and defense over raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith’s overall upgrade chances that increase with each new level of item. These can also be increased by using anti-materials, such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Weapons, armor, and shields can spawn or be crafted with the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to increase the value of 40 luck, or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.
Moreover item upgrade , such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be purchased in the shop or crafted by using the appropriate ingredients.
Item Failure
Item upgrades are a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop them from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.
When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased by so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%..
The performance of an can be affected by the luck of the item. Each item has an average success rate of 25% and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5%.
The upgrade overlays for items are displayed above items in the inventory. This could cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
